Physiotherapist Laura Werner is going to give a presentation on the physiology of pain.
Laura Werner is a registered physiotherapist with specific training in the management and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and perinatal health. Laura earned her Master of Physiotherapy Degree from UBC in 2008 and her Bachelor’s of Kinesiology Degree in Athletic Therapy from the University of Calgary in 2002. Her passion to work in the field of women’s health developed while working at BC Women’s Hospital. After taking postgraduate courses in pelvic floor rehabilitation, Laura sought the training of Marcy Dayan, who has taught and worked extensively in this field. Laura mentored intensively with Marcy and was asked to join her practice. Laura lives in Vancouver with her husband and their two sons.She also enjoys practicing and teaching yoga.
