Our next meeting is a casual potluck where everyone is welcome. Please bring a non spicy, low acid dish to share. If you are unable to bring something, don't let that stop you from coming.

Next Meeting May 27th
Due to the May long weekend our next meeting is going to be on May 27th 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Physiotherapist Laura Werner is going to give a presentation on the physiology of pain.
Laura Werner is a registered physiotherapist with specific training in the management and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and perinatal health. Laura earned her Master of Physiotherapy Degree from UBC in 2008 and her Bachelor’s of Kinesiology Degree in Athletic Therapy from the University of Calgary in 2002. Her passion to work in the field of women’s health developed while working at BC Women’s Hospital. After taking postgraduate courses in pelvic floor rehabilitation, Laura sought the training of Marcy Dayan, who has taught and worked extensively in this field. Laura mentored intensively with Marcy and was asked to join her practice. Laura lives in Vancouver with her husband and their two sons.
She also enjoys practicing and teaching yoga.

April 15th 2012 Potluck Gathering
Come on out and meet your fellow members at this informal potluck gathering. The group has been featuring some amazing guest speakers for the last half a year and we would like everyone to have the chance to get to know each other in a casual atmosphere. Next Meeting March 18th
We are very excited to have psychologist Patrick Myers come and speak with our group. Dealing with chronic illness affects our whole selves, not just the physical body. This will be an open and safe place to come and hear about how chronic illness affects you emotionally and mentally.
